Description: Perennial plant of 20-30 cm height, glabrous, with brown oval bulb. The leaves are 15-25 mm broad and usually 3, lanceolate. The flowers are disposed on a cylindrical raceme, brownish-purple, with yellowish tip, on short pedicels of 5-7 mm.
Biology: Flowering in March-April.
Habitat: Cultivated fields, waste ground.
Distribution: East Mediterranean, from France (only in Var) to Cyprus, Lebanon and Palestine/Israel to East.
