Sariveliler, KARAMAN ● Turkey

Description: Perennial low evergreen sub-shrub, mat-forming, woody. The grey-green leaves are ovate-lanceolate to oblong, deeply lobate or pinnate, 10-20mm long, tomentose. The pink floral heads are to 25mm in diameter. They are followed by silky seeds.

Biology: Flowering in summer.

Habitat: Rocky slopes, on limestone. From 1000 to 2800 m.

Distribution: Endemic of Turkey (Central, Western and Southern Anatolia) and some Aegean islands (Chios, Samos). Cultivated in Alpine gardens.
