Description: Head, pronotum and scutellum green, very shiny, rarely bluish or goldish. Elythrae brown-yellow, with black hairs and three longitudinal stripes, with whitish hair. Yellow pygidium.
The family Glaphyridae includes 6 genera and about 190 species in the Holoarctic region of which only one (Lichnanthe) in the Neoarctic region.
Biology: Glaphyrid beetles are active fliers during the day.
Distribution: Greece, South of former Yugoslavia, Turkey.
