Description: Bradyporus (Callimenus) macrogaster is one of the largest apterous bush-cricket (Tettigoniidae: Bradyporinae) with an average length of 5-5.5 cm. Males are smaller than the females. The ovipositor is very long (15-18 mm) in females.
Biology: The adults are active from May to end of July, mostly at dawn.
Distribution: Romania, Moldavia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece (North-Eastern and Rhodes), Turkey (from North-West to Western Anatolia)
