Macrophya annulata Geoffroy 1785 ♀

Hamoir, LIEGE ● Belgium

Description: The length is 11-12 mm. The head, thorax and the half of the abdomen nearest the tip are all black, but the shoulders are orangey brown and the abdomen has a broad band of similar colour below the thorax.

Biology: Larvae feed on Dog Roses (Rosa canina), Rubus sp..

Habitat: Shrubs, forest edges, meadows.
