Acmaeoderella (Liogastria) cf. chrysanthemi Chevrolat, 1854

Dipkarpaz (Ριζοκάρπασο), İSKELE (Τρίκωμο) ● Cyprus

Description: Acmaeodera is a genus of Metallic Wood-boring Beetles. There are approximately 257 species in this genus, including about 25 species in Europe. They are characterized by the absence of elythra and a large pronotum. The larvae live in the wood of trees and shrubs. The adults feed on flowers.

Biology: This species is active from May to July, up to 600 m.

Distribution: This Palaeartic species is distributed in Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia, Cyprus and in Middle East.
