Eogenes alcides Herrich-Schaffer, 1852
Common names: Alcides Skipper [En], Alsides Zıpzıpı [Tu]

Uzundere, ERZURUM ● Turkey

Description: The wings are dark brown above. The forewing has a complete arc of yellowish postmedian spots and a rectangular discoidal spots. The spots on hindwing are less numerous and conspicuous. The undersides are dusted heavily with gray, especially on hindwing.

Biology: The species flight from late May to early August.

Habitat: Oases and stony river valleys in mountains and foothills, flowery fields near rocky ravines.

Distribution: From Asia Minor across Iran and Afghanistan to Pakistan (Baluchistan, Chitral) and W. China.
