Description: Forewings have long dashes of unequal size, brown to black, fewer in number than the transverse ribs of the external radial field. The membrane is heavy stained. There are a maximum of four colored dashes in the outer radial field of the forewing.

Distribution: Holo-Mediterranean element; Southern Europe from Spain to Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Near East, North Africa.
