Etymology: From Greek ἄριστος|áristos, the best, et λοχεία|lokheia, delivery. Aristolochia was used in Antiquity as cure for difficult deliveries.
Description: Perennial weed. Leaves 15-30mm, with cartilaginous margins, densely hirsute. Floral tube U-shaped, 3-4cm long, blade 10-15mm in diam., externally softly hirsute and white variegate. Size 15-20cm. Color purple-red.
Flowering time: April.
Habitat: Oaks (Quercus) forests, limestone.
Distribution: Endemic of South Anatolia (Antalya, İçel)
