Description: 40cm, subglobose or hemispherical umbel without bulbils, many-flowered. Outer perianth segments dark purple, inner paler, elliptic, usually with broad whitish margin or almost white.
Biology : Flowering from June to August.
Habitat: Calcareous and disturbed clay slopes, grassy places, field borders, beaches on sand and loam.
Distribution: Mediterranean element, Southern & Central Europe, Caucasus, Northern & Western Iran, Iraq, Western Syria.
