Common names: Tenthrède guêpe [Fr], Gelbschwarze Blattwespe [De]

Description: Length: 11-12mm. It remind by its yellow-black body, the wasps. This species has some characteristic features: dark spot on the wings tip, black head and antennae with first segment orange. The abdomen bears usually yellow stripes on the segments 1, 4 and 5 and also on 7,8 and 9.
Biology : Larvae are polyphagous and feed on various trees and shrubs. Adults feed on small insects and on nectar and pollen of umbelliferae, including Heracleum sphondylium.
Habitat: Hedge rows
